FOR OUR CHILDREN - The UN sustainability development goals are designed to build a better world for next generations to come. Mankind has come a long way in a very short time. We are only just becoming self-aware in relation to the harm we are causing and the lack of safety nets for our future. The SDGs are international aims that are designed to repair planet earth to make it fit for purpose in supporting all life in a way that ensures the continued survival of species. These goals address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, peace and injustice. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we do our utmost to achieve each Goal and target by 2030.

UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030. Click on any specific Goal below to learn more about each issue.

There is little point having such objectives if member nations only pay lip service to the aims. That is why it is important for local groups to keep a watchful eye open for malpractices that have become institutionalised.

ETHICS

In the United Kingdom Legal Aid cuts have encroached on SDG16 and the British justice system with the police being untouchable even when murdering to order. Local authorities are not engaging with SDG11 or 13 in building houses that do not include energy micro generation and are not affordable so violating SDG1 in placing large numbers of next generations into financial slavery.

The point here is that if your country is guilty of violations of the Goals set out as being essential to sustainable development of the human race, how will we ever achieve our aims. It is all down to money and vested interests:

"It is harder for a rich man to pass through the eye of a needle than enter the kingdom of heaven."

While that saying may have come from the Bible, it holds true in any society where higher aims are sacrificed for personal gains.

It is your duty to catalogue and report any transgressions by your local authorities and the nations elected leaders. Especially so where hypocrisy is rampant. By this means other nations may see and shun activities that would otherwise go unnoticed.

Transparency is key in any decent administration. Transparency lets others see. If you can see what is dark, you can appreciate the light. If you cannot see what is dark, the light will be so much dimmer, but you will know no different and you may be deceived into thinking that you have reached your targets, when in fact you have fallen far short.

Some Governments specialize in keeping their electorate in the dark precisely to make them think that all is light. The British administration for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth is one such nation that sometimes rewards maladministration and such practices aimed at depriving citizens of their Human Rights under ECHR Article 17, with honours, that we hope to help this nation transform into a bastion of transparency and virtue. But don't count on our efforts making much difference. After all, the British Royals have been content to pursue such illegal objectives ever since signing the Universal Declaration. In the UK, if you are not a Mason, or member of a quango or other high ranking (unaccountable) organization, you are cannon fodder to their money making mill.

The 17 SDG headings that the UN hopes will make planet earth a better place to live on. They are a good starting point, but useless on their own, without direction as to how to make it happen. The way to make impact-full change is for every nation to pull together, Each country must play their part. If they are a great farming nation, they must farm sustainably. If they have forests in abundance, they must plant more trees. Houses should be carbon neutral, vehicles too, energy should be renewable, industrial units fit solar and windgens (if possible) and politicians be honest about their intentions.
