SURVIVING WORLD WAR THREE

YEAR THREE OF THE RUSSIA V UKRAINE CONFLICT SETS THE SCENE FOR MORE GLOBAL WARMING AND THE THREAT OF NUCLEAR THEMONUCLEAR ANIHILATION

UNPREPARED AS USUAL - There is no early warning system in the United Kingdom. Councillors and council officers appear not to care, about the electorate, except to collect taxes for their enhanced retirement pensions. UK politicians are so blinkered by gaslight politics, including the UK's military chiefs, that they have forgotten the basics of surviving a world at war, or preserving the peace. Perhaps the social policies of China and Russia, give them the edge, over capitalism in this regard?

What that means in European and other NATO countries, is that it is every family for themselves. Being cautious that blinkered officials are bound to try to stop you exercising your basic human right to life, liberty and security of person, as per Article 3.

Local Councils and Politicians (LCPs) in the UK and EU, many of which are NATO members, may be just as bad as the dictator they fought from 1939-1945, leading to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights after the Second World War ended.

The world has come a long way since the years of colonialism and slave trading. We now have human rights and financial slavery. Your rights being watered down by every signatory, in various ways. Hence, the number of claims in the HR courts.

LCPs may be judged by their level of complacency, ineptitude, or however you may care to describe the build up to the illegal invasion of Ukraine by Russia. As it appears, supported by China and other nations, such as India, Iran and North Korea. Where, clearly, as United Nations members, the former Soviet Union should have been politically ostracized by all members; rather than applauded and even encouraged.

This is according to several apparently well researched Media articles, warning of the Pre-War stage we are presently in. One of the best being from the Daily Mirror. See below.

It seems World War Two was not concluded, bouncing through the Cold War, when in reality, the war between ideals was simply put on simmer as a long term strategy, allowing time for antagonists to regroup, re-arm and wait for an opportunity to strike a death blow to democracy and the free world. Democracy being defined by transparent government with free elections. The hallmark of a dictator being the disposal of political opponents, in the style of Adolf Hitler's Gestapo. Now, mirrored by Vladimir Putin's Russia, and Xi Jinping's China.

THE CUBAN CRISIS

Faced with the physical manifestation of the 'Iron Curtain' in the Berlin Wall and the development of intercontinental ballistic missiles, then-US president John F. Kennedy determined in 1961 to mobilize funds for public shelters across the country.

From 1962 - the year of the Cuban Missile Crisis - food was stored in the basements of buildings, schools and churches, supposedly sturdy enough to offer protection. There is nothing like this in the UK, and many other EU countries, apart from Switzerland. But the UK is doing deals with the US, to re-install missiles at RAF Lakenheath.

Whowever is in the White House after the presidential elections scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2024, one thing is clear: Britain needs to either break its ‘special nuclear relationship’ with the US, or re-negotiate to take into account the lack of extra protection needed for the electorate shelter wise. We’re all familiar with the so-called ‘special relationship’, basically tying Britain into bad foreign policy decisions. But not so many people know about the US-UK Mutual Defence Agreement (MDA) – the world’s most extensive nuclear sharing agreement.

Known in full as the ‘Agreement between the UK and the USA for cooperation in the Uses of Atomic Energy for Mutual Defence Purposes’, the treaty initially established an agreement between both countries to exchange classified information to develop their respective nuclear weapon systems.

Apart from the lack of transparency, renewal of the MDA is in breach of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. As it implies continuation and enhancement of the nuclear programme, not progress towards its discontinuation. The problem being Russian Aggression again coming to the fore. Forcing the pace. Hence, Russia is the cause of, and the need for vigilance. Russian Imperialist aspirations are driving the world toward a nuclear doomsday.

WHAT OF SURVIVING A NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST BY TAKING DIRECT ACTION?

Depending on where you are located in the 'free world,' you may want to consider exercising your 'permitted development' (linked) human rights. Since, there has been no move to warn you of the imminent danger and the pre-war state of international politics, other than a few articles in the media. There is no early warning system in place in most European natioons. No Sirens. No communal bunkers and no advice as to taking your own precautions.

If we take the UK as an example of being unprepared, you might ask what Grant Shapps is thinking! The whole point being; is he thinking of you at all. And clearly, neither the Conservative, nor Labour governments have given your safety a second thought. With the Liberal-Democrats just as inept, if recent happenings in East Sussex are anything to go by.

Meaning, you'll have to do the thinking for yourselves, if your family is not to become collateral damage.

THE RISK: IN NUMBERS

According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), as of January 2023, there were an estimated 12,512 nuclear warheads worldwide. Nearly 90% belong to the United States and Russia. The remaining 10% are spread among China, France, the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan, Israel, and North Korea. These are sufficient numbers to wipe out most unprotected life on earth.

Here's a breakdown of the estimated number of nuclear warheads by country as of 2023:

- Russia: 5,889
- United States: 5,244
- China: 410
- France: 290
- United Kingdom: 225

There is some uncertainty regarding the exact numbers, especially for non-US/Russia stockpiles, as these are considered state secrets. Estimates for India, Pakistan, Israel, and North Korea range between:

- India: 150-320
- Pakistan: 165-280
- Israel: 80-160 (Israel neither confirms nor denies having nuclear weapons)
- North Korea: 20-60

It's important to note that these are estimates, and the actual numbers could be higher or lower. Additionally, these numbers only reflect the total number of warheads, not how many are operational or deployed.

Now here is a breakdown Communist Vs Democracies, excluding Iran, whose enrichment is (apparently) not to weapons grade:

Communists:

- Russia: 5,889

- North Korea: 20-60
- China: 410

TOTAL - 6,319 - 6,359

Democracies:

- United States: 5,244

- France: 290
- United Kingdom: 225

- India: 150-320
- Pakistan: 165-280
- Israel: 80-160

TOTAL - 6,154 - 6,519

It is about even, ensuring mutually assured annihilation. On that horrifying note, what are the numbers for nuclear fallout bunkers? There is no comprehensive and publicly available data on the exact number of nuclear bomb-proof fallout shelters or bunkers worldwide. This information is often considered sensitive or classified by governments and militaries.

Some countries continue to maintain public shelter programs, primarily in regions perceived to be at higher risk. Switzerland, for example, is known for its widespread network of public shelters. The country of 8.6 million people counts nearly nine million spaces across 365,000 private and public shelters. Complete with composting toilets, kits for quickly assembling beds, and a ventilation system that filters the air coming in from outside.

Private shelters are also a growing trend, with companies offering construction and maintenance services for individuals or communities.

However, the exact number of such private shelters is unknown, if a strategy to deter Russia and China from hitting their red buttons. While the number of nuclear bomb-proof shelters is likely significant globally, there is no tally on numbers. Which could, if developed provincially in significant numbers, become a deterrent factor.

Ideally, those who begin aggression would be the first casualties, such that peace loving survivors might rebuild with clean hands. We are also advocates of drone soldiers, to replace tanks and infantry, to protect borders 24/7/365. All linked to a global defense network, in an attempt to make wars a thing of the past. This potential solution applies to Communists and Democracies, and all religious denominations, without discrimination. Perhaps, under the supervision of the United Nations.

We must though reverse the trend at the moment, of governments seeking to quash peaceful protests. Politicians aught to know that if the public are protesting on the streets, that their policies might be in need of serious and urgent revision. The right to protest is a safety net for policy makers who have lost their way. In any democracy, politicians should represent the will of the people. Not, their own personal agendas, deals on the side, etc.

WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?

The Right to Life enshrined in both the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Human Rights Act 1998 provides a powerful foundation for arguing that individuals have the right to take measures to protect themselves from imminent threats. However, successfully applying this principle in a complex legal context like planning regulations, requires a solid understanding of council perversion.

This is all the more difficult, because, and it a sad and documented fact, that many councils in England are corrupt. And many have overspent, and borrowed too much. Leading to bankruptcy. One reason for which is not building affordable/sustainable housing. But only houses for the rich.

The pervading situation demonstrates that councils are prepared to spend more than your taxes can provide, and still not provide the services they contracted to provide (Breach of Contract). Is so doing, depriving you of your right to life, in seeking more taxes, in a spiral of inappropriate spending. Commonly called bungs. And those bribes will be disguised, to make retrospective remedy virtually impossible.

Potential limitations of the Right to Life:

Interpretation: Courts interpret the Right to Life primarily as an obligation of the state to protect individuals from unlawful killings and to take steps to preserve life in reasonable circumstances. It's less established as a universal right that automatically overrides other areas of law.

Duty of the State vs. Individual Empowerment: While the Right to Life could strengthen arguments about the government's lack of preparedness measures, it doesn't automatically translate into giving individuals carte blanche to violate existing regulations in the name of self-preservation. Even though you would think that is common sense.

But then common sense would mean having an early warning system in place!

How Human Rights Law Could Potentially Help:

While not a guaranteed solution, invoking the Right to Life in a legal challenge could be used in conjunction with other arguments, like:

a) Proportionality: Arguing that the potential threat to life presented by nuclear war or extreme climate events necessitates a proportionate response, even if it means bending planning regulations. Though we advocate adhering to the law, via presumption in favour of an interference free family life: Article 8 (2) HRA 1998.

b) Negligence and Inadequacy: Framing the lack of official preparedness measures and restrictive planning rules as a form of negligence by the state in its duty to protect life. See: the Wednesbury Rule of Reasonableness.

c) Public Interest: Potentially building a public interest argument, demonstrating broader community support for greater flexibility in constructing personal shelters in the light of existential threats.

Challenges and Considerations:

- Case Precedent: There's limited case precedent where the Right to Life has been successfully used to specifically overturn planning restrictions. This means the legal argument would need to be carefully constructed and potentially innovative. There is then a clear need for a case precedent.

- Specificity of Threat: Courts generally require a clear and present danger to justify overriding existing laws. The hypothetical nature of a nuclear strike or the longer-term effects of climate change might complicate this argument. We aver that Russian aggression in Ukraine, linked to the multiple threats of using nuclear weapons by Russia. Constitutes a Clear and Present Danger.

- Judicial Deference: Courts might be reluctant to intervene in highly technical areas like planning regulations, especially those touching upon national security concerns. Even though an individual exercising his right to life. may also be helping the MOD create a post apocalyptic Home Guard: A modern Dad's Army.

Recommendation:

Before embarking on any legal action, it's strongly recommended to consult with an experienced human rights lawyer specializing in taking on enforcement cases. You are looking for a legal Top Gun, a Maverick, who is prepared to put his head above the parapet. Be warned, there are not many of those about. Mainly, because councils spend small fortunes disarming activists with SLAPP actions. So they rule the roost.

Assess Strength of Case: A legal professional can provide a realistic assessment of whether invoking the Right to Life would have a substantial impact on a building permit challenge.

Navigate Legal System: They can guide you through the appropriate channels – whether planning appeals, legal challenges to the local authority, or potentially even the European Court of Human Rights, if relevant.

Remember: Upholding the Right to Life goes beyond individual survival efforts. Continuously advocating for systemic change in preparedness policies, diplomatic solutions, and climate change action offers the most comprehensive long-term protection for yourself and for society as a whole.

CLAIMING IN THE COURTS

If you are wondering if this might be a case for the European Court, or possibly a claim in the International Human Rights court in The Hague, you may be right.

Bringing a case regarding planning restrictions hindering individuals from taking measures to protect their Right to Life, to the European and potentially International courts is worth consideration. Here's a breakdown of why:

EUROPEAN COURT OF HUMAN RIGHTS (ECtHR):

1. Jurisdiction: The UK is bound by the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), and the ECtHR enforces its provisions. Article 2 (Right to Life) is a cornerstone of the ECHR.

2. Potential Arguments: You could argue that the lack of preparedness measures and restrictive planning regulations create an obstacle to your ability to act in self-preservation in the face of potential nuclear threats or extreme climate dangers, thus indirectly violating your Article 2 rights.

That multiple councils in the UK are facing bankruptcy, demonstrates their inadequacy over a range of issues, just one of which is Home Defence. This underscores their administrative shortcomings.

3. Precedents: There are cases where the ECtHR has ruled in favor of individuals when a state's actions (or lack thereof) posed a significant risk to life, particularly in environmental and safety matters.

INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE (ICJ) - THE HAGUE

Jurisdiction: The ICJ primarily adjudicates disputes between states. Bringing a claim as an individual would require the UK to consent, or if (to be) potentially framed under international humanitarian law or treaties.

Limited Applicability: Unless you can connect your case to a broader violation of international law by the UK state, the ICJ is less likely to be the appropriate forum compared to the ECtHR. Article 1 of the Universal Declaration is supposed to guarantee all other rights, the lack of protections in their geographical areas, may constitute a violation of international law. Switzerland is the Case Precedent.

Challenges and Considerations:

Establishing State Responsibility: You would need to demonstrate a strong link between the UK government's specific policies or lack of preparedness and a direct threat to your life.

Complexity and Expense: International litigation is extremely complex, lengthy, and costly. Securing qualified legal representation specializing in both human rights and planning law is crucial. Though if we take the UK as an example, the State has ensured an uneven playing field in not providing Legal Aid in planning cases. Meaning, only the rich have access to expensive solicitors and barristers. An Articles 7 and 10: equality at arms issue.

Uncertain Outcome: There's no guarantee of success, even with a strong argument. International courts navigate complex legal principles and political considerations, generally siding with the state, over the rights of an individual, or a family seeking to protect themselves. In rare cases the EU or Hague, may decide enough is enough.

A first step might be to write to council leaders and members of parliament in tandem. Asking that what protections there are for the general public in their area. We suspect you will be given the brush off, requiring persistance, and even the cooperation of the press.

You could ask your MP to take the matter up with the Ministers and Secretaries of State, leading to a question in Parliament. This should establish the shortcomings of the present non-system.

Next Steps:

Consult Legal Experts: Immediately seek consultation from experienced international human rights lawyers specializing in cases before the ECtHR and potentially the ICJ. They can assess the viability of your case and guide you on the process.

Seek Organizational Support: Contact human rights organizations that might support your case, offering legal aid, resources, or public advocacy.

Public Awareness Campaign: If you decide to pursue legal action, raising public awareness about the issue can garner support and pressure on the UK government to address preparedness shortcomings.

Important Note: Taking this route will likely set new legal precedents. While potentially impactful for addressing broader preparedness issues, it might not provide an immediate solution to your specific planning permit problems.

There are though permitted development rights, and ways and means of complying with the law as it stands. By building a shelter, you will force a council to either agree with you or enforce.

If they enforce, you have a Right of Appeal to the Secretary of State, by way of a Public Inquiry.

This is a good way of mounting a legal demonstration, as part of lawful civil disobedience, such as asserting your rights under Article 8, freedom from official interference in your private family life. Or a lack of Article 13 effective remedy. Since in the UK they left Article 13 out of their Human Rights Act 1998, deliberately, to be able to lawfully deprive you of Legal Aid. Note, only lawfully in the UK, since leaving out the right to an effective remedy is of itself unlawful : )

HUMAN RIGHTS RESOURCES

Here's a breakdown of resources to help individuals explore human rights advocacy and potential legal challenges.

Types of Organizations:

General Human Rights Organizations: These groups provide information, education, and sometimes legal support on a wide range of human rights issues.

Liberty: (https://www.libertyhumanrights.org.uk/) UK-based organization with a focus on civil liberties and human rights legal challenges.

Amnesty International UK: (https://www.amnesty.org.uk/) Strong focus on international human rights, but also engages in UK-specific advocacy and campaigns.

Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC): (https://www.equalityhumanrights.com/en) A government-established body, but provides advice and potential support on human rights and discrimination issues.

Specialized Legal Aid Organizations: These groups offer direct legal representation or advice, often focusing on specific areas of human rights law.

The Public Law Project: (https://publiclawproject.org.uk/) Specializes in challenging public body decisions through judicial review.

The Aire Centre: (https://www.airecentre.org/) Focuses on using the European Convention on Human Rights and EU law for strategic legal challenges.

Just for Kids Law: (https://justforkidslaw.org/) Provides youth-centered advocacy and potential legal representation across various rights issues.

Issue- Specific Advocacy Groups: Many organizations focus on particular areas like environmental rights, disability rights, or housing rights. These groups can be great sources of information and support within their specific niche.

Finding Suitable Organizations:

AdviceNow: (https://www.advicenow.org.uk/) Offers guides and a searchable database of organizations providing advice across various issues, including human rights.

Law Centres Network: (https://www.lawcentres.org.uk/) Focuses on local law centers specializing in social welfare laws, often covering human rights concerns.

Government Resources:

Citizens Advice: (https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/) Provides general advice and can point you towards relevant organizations for specific needs.

Gov.UK Legal Aid Finder: (https://www.gov.uk/check-legal-aid) Helps assess eligibility for government-funded legal aid.

Important Disclaimer: We are not a legal professionals, and this information should not replace individual legal advice. Always consult with a qualified lawyer regarding any human rights concerns or legal action.

Rough Estimate: On average, basement conversions in the UK can cost anywhere from £1,000 to £3,000 per square meter. For a more accurate estimate, consult with professionals. Perhaps consider getting a detailed quote based on the area you have available to develop. Country locations are better suited.

But a hole in the ground covered in logs is way cheaper. And more suitable as a platform on which to mount a legal challenge.

If you believe that we have raised valid concerns about the limitations of diplomacy in the face of aggression by certain nations and the lack of modern civil defense infrastructure. What can you do about it?

Addressing a Lack of Early Warning Systems:

Absence in Modern Times: Unlike WW2, there aren't widely deployed public air-raid siren systems for immediate alerts to the general populace in the UK or Europe.

Alternative Channels: Governments would have you rely primarily on TV, radio, and cell phone emergency alerts to disseminate warnings in case of an imminent attack.

Advocacy: Citizens raising awareness and lobbying their representatives about the lack of dedicated civilian alert systems can certainly be valuable.

Building a Personal or Communal Shelter:

While the effectiveness of shelters against a direct nuclear strike near the epicenter is debatable, they can provide some protection from blast effects further afield and, more importantly, from radioactive fallout. So, move away from cities that are sure to be targets.

Considerations:

Location: Underground is ideal. If not feasible, select areas of your home that offer the most shielding from radiation.

Supplies: Stock water, non-perishable food, first-aid supplies, a battery-powered radio, iodine tablets (to protect the thyroid in case of radiation exposure), and basic tools.

Fallout Duration: Be prepared to remain sheltered for several days, possibly weeks, as immediate venturing out could be fatal due to radiation levels. Watch out for other (zombie-like) humans that display as sick from radiation poisoning, or who are starving. They may want to eat you, or steal your supplies - or both.

Communal Shelters:

Historical Precedent: Communal shelters were a WW2 measure, and their effectiveness in the modern context is debatable due to the scale and scope of nuclear weapons.

Logistical Challenges: Organizing and supplying a communal shelter on short notice poses significant logistical and safety challenges.

Alternatives: Designating existing structures with strong basements as potential community shelters could be a more feasible starting point for preparedness discussions at the local level.

Citizen Advocacy vs. Individual Preparation

Lobbying: Demanding better preparedness, early warning systems, and open dialogue with policymakers about potential civilian protection measures is absolutely a legitimate form of citizen engagement.

Individual Precautions: Taking steps within your means to prepare a basic shelter and supplies offers a sense of agency and can mitigate some risks, especially in scenarios involving fallout rather than a direct strike.

NATO has done nothing about the build up of international tensions. NATO only protects political assets.

The geopolitical implications of Russia’s aggression in the invasion of Ukraine may undermine the international cooperation and trust needed to address climate change effectively. Many have compared Putin’s actions with those of Hitler, who also used historical disquisitions and nationalist rhetoric to justify his expansionist ambitions, despite the efforts of the United Nations and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, that was designed by the parties to prevent such aggressions, and a similar scenario from happening again. But here we are again, with Putin just waiting for the right moment to take advantage of the West's apparent weaknesses, having built up a suitable stash of cash and arms, to wage his expansionist plans, almost exactly as Adolf Hitler, leading up to World War Two.

Founder and leader of the Nazi Party, Reich Chancellor and guiding spirit of the Third Reich from 1933 to 1945, Head of State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Adolf Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn, Austria, on 20 April 1889. The son of a fifty-two-year-old Austrian customs official, Alois Schickelgruber Hitler, and his third wife, a young peasant girl, Klara Poelzl, both from the backwoods of lower Austria, the young Hitler was a resentful, discontented child. Moody, lazy, of unstable temperament, he was deeply hostile towards his strict, authoritarian father and strongly attached to his indulgent, hard-working mother, whose death from cancer in December 1908 was a shattering blow to the adolescent Hitler.

Adolf Hitler fought in the First World War, then took advantage of the utter carnage of a depression, to promise the German people the earth. There is no doubting his skills as a master orator.

On 30 January 1939, Nazi German dictator Adolf Hitler gave a speech in the Kroll Opera House to the Reichstag delegates, which is best known for the prediction he made that "the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe" would ensue if another world war were to occur.

Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels helped write the speech, which was delivered on the sixth anniversary of Hitler's seizure of power in 1933. The speech lasted two or two-and-a-half hours. It dealt with both the foreign and domestic policies of the Nazi government.

Adolf Hitler's speech in 1939

Hitler accused Jews of having "nothing of their own, except for political and sanitary diseases" and being parasites on the German nation, turning Germans into "beggars in their own country". He asserted there had to be an end to the misconception that "the good Lord had meant the Jewish nation to live off the body and productive work of other nations", or else the Jews would "succumb to a crisis of unimaginable severity". Hitler claimed that the Jews were trying to incite "millions among the masses of people into a conflict that is utterly senseless for them and serves only Jewish interests". Hitler then arrived at his main point:

"I have very often in my lifetime been a prophet and have been mostly derided. At the time of my struggle for power it was in the first instance the Jewish people who only greeted with laughter my prophecies that I would someday take over the leadership of the state and of the entire people of Germany and then, among other things, also bring the Jewish problem to its solution. I believe that this hollow laughter of Jewry in Germany has already stuck in its throat. I want today to be a prophet again: if international finance Jewry inside and outside Europe should succeed in plunging the nations once more into a world war, the result will be not the Bolshevization of the earth and thereby the victory of Jewry, but the annihilation of the Jewish race in Europe."

Today, a speech like this would be illegal. Inciting racial prejudice and hatred. He would be arrested, tried and imprisoned. With all the build up, and wealth creation in rearming Germany, and with the help of the Gestapo, few would stand up to be counted, for fear of being eliminated, sometimes permanently.

ADOLF HITLER AS A HISTORIC CASE PRECEDENT

Founder and leader of the Nazi Party, Reich Chancellor and guiding spirit of the Third Reich (Third New World Order) from 1933 to 1945, Head of State and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Adolf Hitler was born in Braunau am Inn, Austria, on 20 April 1889. The son of a fifty-two-year-old Austrian customs official, Alois Schickelgruber Hitler, and his third wife, a young peasant girl, Klara Poelzl, both from the backwoods of lower Austria.

The young Adolf Hitler was a resentful, discontented child. Moody, lazy, of unstable temperament, he was deeply hostile towards his strict, authoritarian father and strongly attached to his indulgent, hard-working mother, whose death from cancer in December 1908 was a shattering blow to the adolescent Hitler.

Hitler's saber-rattling tactics bludgeoned the British and French into the humiliating Munich agreement of 1938 and the eventual dismantlement of the Czechoslovakian State in March 1939. The concentration camps, the Nuremberg racial laws against the Jews, the persecution of the churches and political dissidents were forgotten by many Germans in the euphoria of Hitler's territorial expansion and bloodless victories. The next designated target for Hitler's ambitions was Poland (her independence guaranteed by Britain and France) and, to avoid a two-front war, the Nazi dictator signed a pact of friendship and non-aggression with Soviet Russia. On 1 September 1939 German armies invaded Poland and henceforth his main energies were devoted to the conduct of a war he had unleashed to dominate Europe and secure Germany's "living space."

One can imagine a similar rhetoric from Vladimir Putin, as his reasons for invading Crimea, and then Ukraine.

The first phase of World War II was dominated by German Blitzkrieg tactics: sudden shock attacks against airfields, communications, military installations, using fast mobile armor and infantry to follow up on the first wave of bomber and fighter aircraft. Poland was overrun in less than one month, Denmark and Norway in two months, Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg and France in six weeks. After the fall of France in June 1940 only Great Britain stood firm. Leading to the Battle of Britain. Adolf's rearmament program should have alerted what would become NATO allies as to his plans. But they appeased him. Hitler ordered fast tanks and 'Stuka' dive bombers, Junkers Ju 87, along with strategic deals with the Axis powers; Italy and Japan. Does this not describe our World War Three scenario?

THE BATTLE OF BRITAIN

The Battle of Britain, is where the British Royal Air Force prevented the Luftwaffe from securing aerial control over the English Channel. This was Hitler's first 'setback,' causing the planned invasion of the British Isles to be postponed. The Brits secret weapons being radar - Range and Direction Finding (RDF) and the Chain Home Guard.

This event aligns with Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his brave army, taking on the might of Russia. It is plain Russia will not stop if he wins in Ukraine.

The 'setback' for Vladimir Putin, was the fighting spirit of the Ukraine under Volodymyr Zelenskyy, at last supported by the EU and USA, where Putin simply walked in Crimea, unopposed, as Hitler marched into Poland. Indeed, Putin's saber-rattling, nuclear rhetoric, and military displays of power (marches) have failed. The Ukraine has a leader with gusto, backed up by aptitude.

Depending on his mood swings, health, and level or perceived desperation, the 'Red Peril' may finally punch the nuclear bag. We have to imagine this threat is real from the build up of Russian and Chinese missiles, spoken of many times as a threat in case Russia starts losing ground seriously, politically and geographically. Meaning that everyone, all over the world should not be shocked if it happens, and should be preparing for the worst case scenario. Mainly, to ensure survival in sufficient numbers to be able to stage a comeback for modern man. And not to waste that opportunity, should the indescribable be forced upon us.

Take a leaf out of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs, that effectively ended WW2. If Putin is rash enough to unleash thermonuclear hell, the West should take that opportunity to completely neutralize the Russian threat, so sending a clear message to potentially fanatical adversaries like Iran and North Korea. No matter what the cost. It will be cheaper for planet earth in the long run.

Indeed, as allies of Russia, Iran and North Korea may care to enjoin. Giving the remainder of the developed world, NATO allies and even UK allies who are not members of NATO, the opportunity to obliterate those threats. From which (relatively) clean slate, the world, as Nations United, might rebuild from a more stable starting point. Barren, but stable; a clean canvas. Unthinkable that such a confrontation represents, every cloud has a silver lining. Leaving only China and India, to come to terms with. Who may then see reason, in curtailing their present nuclear ambitions. Not least because the cheap coal, gas and oil will have evaporated. Putting their economies into a nose dive, save for rice, tea and spices as exports. But when? When will the land be washed sufficiently to farm, and how many farmers will be able bodied enough to tend the crops?

Fingers crossed, the world will not be too polluted, and that any nuclear winter might be survivable. Though this goes against all that the Injustice Alliance stands for, in the real world, one should be prepared. In the words of Sir Winston Churchill: "Speak softly, but carry a big stick."

Portrait of a war criminal, trained by Russian's secret service, where their job constituted an apprenticeship for what was to come, the mass murder of Ukrainian citizens, as a butchering psychopath. Vladimir Putin is pictured above as a child, and then clawing his way up the power ladder as an KGB officer, with who knows how many assassinations ordered by his then superiors, along the way, as he developed a circle of alliances based on fear. The KGB being the right training ground for political success, for those ruthless enough to quash opposition the old fashioned way. Much as with Adolf Hitler and his Gestapo. That is why it is dangerous to keep anyone in any position for too long. Change is essential to prevent cozy relationships developing into a full blown dictatorship. And that means free elections is a true democracy. The only exceptions to this rule, being a few very well balanced individuals, who don't have an axe to grind, and respect geographical boundaries. Holding life to be precious, and human rights sacrosanct.     The KGB was a military service governed by army laws and regulations, in the same fashion as the Soviet Army or the MVD Internal Troops. While most of the KGB archives remain classified, two online documentary sources are available. Its main functions were foreign intelligence, counter-intelligence, operative-investigative activities, guarding the state border of the USSR, guarding the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and the Soviet Government, organization and security of government communications as well as combating nationalist, dissident, religious and anti-Soviet activities. On 3 December 1991, the KGB was officially dissolved. It was later succeeded in Russia by the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) and what would later become the Federal Security Service (FSB). After becoming president, Vladimir Putin launched a major reorganization of the FSB. First, the FSB was placed under direct control of the President by a decree issued on 17 May 2000.

SURVIVING A NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST

While the threat of nuclear war is a critical concern, it's important to understand that preventing nuclear conflict is paramount. Nuclear winter is a hypothetical scenario with devastating consequences, and preparing for it can only offer limited and uncertain benefits in the face of an event that must be actively prevented through diplomacy and global cooperation, if at all possible. Wonderful notions, that have failed twice already (WWI & WWII), and now again we are on a Pre-War footing (WWIII).

However, if the unthinkable were to happen, it's crucial to note that there is no guaranteed way to survive a nuclear winter. The severity of its impact would depend on numerous factors, including the scale of the nuclear exchange and the prevailing environmental conditions. If Iran and North Korea remain true to form, the thermonuclear fallout will be expansive, potentially all encompassing. Meaning longer in bunkers, on stored foods and bottled water.

If at all possible, choose a low risk area for your bunker. Areas usually considered high-risk are capitals, transportation and communication centers, chemical plants, military bases and similar areas.

Here are some general precautions that might be considered if such a catastrophic event were to occur:

Immediate Shelter:

1. Seek immediate shelter in a subterranean location like a basement, underground bunker, or subway station. These offer some protection from the initial blast, heat, and radiation.

2. Remain indoors for at least 24-48 hours as this allows radioactive fallout to settle, significantly reducing its immediate threat.

China has a long established relationship with Russia, to include satellites for space wars, apart from the import of cheap fossil fuels, to underpin a massive building programme that would end in tears, and bankruptcy.

"KEEP DIGGING YOUR SHELTERS, THEY WON'T EVEN NOTICE" - China has a long established relationship with Russia, to include satellites for space wars, apart from the import of cheap fossil fuels, to underpin a massive bunker building programme.

Long-Term Survival:

- Food and water stockpiles: Having access to non-perishable food and water is crucial for long-term survival. Aim for a minimum of two weeks' supply per person, and ideally much longer if possible.

- Air filtration: Filtering the air you breathe is essential as radioactive dust can be present for weeks or months. Consider purchasing HEPA filters or improvising filtration systems using available materials.

- Medical supplies: Maintaining a basic stock of first-aid and medical supplies is important to address potential injuries and illnesses.

- Community and communication: Establishing communication channels and cooperating with others is crucial for sharing resources, information, and emotional support.

It's crucial to emphasize that these measures are highly speculative and offer no guarantee of survival. The consequences of a nuclear winter would be catastrophic, with widespread environmental damage, food shortages, and societal collapse.

Therefore, preventing nuclear war is the only truly effective way to avoid the horrors of nuclear winter. This necessitates continued efforts towards diplomacy, non-proliferation, and risk reduction. Individuals can contribute by supporting organizations dedicated to peace-building and global security and advocating for policies that promote dialogue and understanding between nations.

What chance that has with so many nuclear warheads, already in the world, and increasing, is dubious.

[Solutions: Start building communal nuclear fallout shelters, one for every village, and keep them fully stocked with food and water. Amend Permitted Development Orders, to allow building of private underground shelters, without the need to apply for planning permission. We'd also need early warning sirens, linked to the military, to give at least four and two minute warnings. This qualifies as a blue growth strategy, sending a clear message to China, India, Iran, North Korea and Russia, etc., that we are preparing for the end game. Suggest the same for African allies, Australia, USA, Canada, Commonwealth islands, South America, Pakistan, and European allies. In other words a unified response. Giving those in the free world, the upper hand. Go ahead, spark a nuclear war. You will lose! At the moment, it is 50/50. You need to help improve the odds of survival.]

Abrams tanks US, NATO training exercise, armoured fighting units versus robotic drone warfare

"DINOSAURS" - Do we need tanks and human infantry? There are other safer and cheaper ways of defending borders. Tanks and human soldiers need lots of fossil fuels and food. Drone soldiers are potentially way more economical in terms of the cost of defence, and the loss of human lives.

The war between Russia and Ukraine undoubtedly presents a complex situation for UN members, with potential implications for both climate change and defence spending. Let's take a look at some of the main points.

CLIMATE CHANGE

Increased Focus on Energy Security: The war has exposed Europe's dependence on Russian energy sources, particularly natural gas. This has sparked renewed efforts to diversify energy supplies and accelerate the transition to renewable energy sources. While this long-term shift could ultimately benefit climate change mitigation, short-term solutions might involve increased reliance on fossil fuels from other sources, potentially offsetting some of the progress made on emissions reduction.

Potential Disruption of Climate Action: The war is diverting significant resources and attention from other pressing global issues, including climate change. This could disrupt international cooperation on climate action initiatives and hinder progress towards achieving emissions reduction targets.

DEFENCE SPENDING

Increased Defence Expenditure: The war in Ukraine has heightened security concerns among UN members, leading to calls for increased defence spending from NATO. Many member states have committed to raising their defence budgets to meet the alliance's target of spending 2% of GDP on defence. This shift in resources towards defence comes at the expense of other budgetary priorities, potentially including investments in climate change initiatives.

Potential Long-Term Impacts: The war could have long-term consequences for the United Nations, which may cease to exist entirely, if the conflict persists or escalates, it may necessitate continued high levels of defence spending, creating a persistent tension between security needs and climate action. Though, in a nuclear exchange, world populations will decrease significantly, reducing fossil fuel usage. As discovered during the COVID19 lockdowns.

NATO MEMBER NATIONS PERSPECTIVES

Balancing Act: Member nations face the challenge of balancing their response to the war with their commitments to address climate change. This could involve seeking solutions that address immediate security concerns while still promoting long-term sustainability.

Diversity of Views: There will likely be divergences in member states' perspectives on how best to navigate this complex situation. Some countries might prioritize immediate security needs, while others might emphasize the importance of maintaining focus on climate action.

It's also worth noting that some argue that increased defence spending can coexist with sustainability objectives.

Some propose investing in "green defence" technologies to improve efficiency and resilience after radiation fallout. Rebuilding from the ashes. After which, perhaps, nuclear weapons might finally be banned.

Ukraine represents the fight for freedom and the rights of every human to live a full life, free from oppression.

27 JANUARY 2024 - WORLD WAR 3: 5 CHILLING SIGNS UK AND US ARE HEADING FOR ALL OUT CONFLICT AMID GLOBAL UNREST

Fears of a global conflict that could see the US and the UK drawn into World War 3 involving Russia and other major powers have been rising in recent years - and over the past few weeks several figures, including politicians, have issued stark warnings over the risk of war.

As Vladimir Putin continues his war in Ukraine, leaked German intelligence documents suggest Berlin expects Russia to launch another wave of attacks. Due to this threat, Germany is reportedly trying to come up with contingency plans in case Russian troops march westward from Belarus.

Meanwhile, Israel is continuing its attacks on Gaza and there are fears the conflict could spread further across the Middle East. And further east, Taiwan fears a Chinese invasion following the election of a pro-democracy president, while Kim Jong-Un pledged to build more nuclear weapons this year. Here, we look at the risk factors and signs that could mean the UK and the US might become involved in an all-out conflict.

DEFENCE SECRETARY'S WARNING

Last week, British Defence Secretary Grant Shapps warned that we are moving "from a post-war to a pre-war world" and said that in the next five years, there might be wars involving China, Russia, North Korea and Iran. He highlighted numerous threats to peace - but the common thread amid all the warnings is Russia.

His comments were echoed by Germany's Defence Minister, Boris Pistorius, who told a German newspaper: "We have to take into account that Vladimir Putin might even attack a Nato country one day." He added that while such an attack is unlikely at the moment, there is a risk of it happening within five to eight years.

Former British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace had already issued a warning last year saying: "War is coming." Mr Wallace said the world is "definitely more dangerous, more unstable and more insecure" as a result of Vladimir Putin's illegal war as he piled pressure on Rishi Sunak over defence spending.

Mr Wallace said: "Conflict is coming by the end of this decade, whether it is a cold war or hot, war is coming. We just have to recognise that in order to deter you just have to be ready, you have to be equipped and you have to stand with your friends and your allies."

UK 'SHOULD PREPARE FOR CONSCRIPTION'

A world affairs expert this week told The Mirror that the whole of the UK must prepare for conscription within six years unless Putin is defeated. Downing Street was forced to rule out widespread military call ups after the head of the Army General Sir Patrick Sanders said British civilians would need to prepare to fight Russia in a future war.

For all the latest news, politics, sports, and showbiz from the USA, go to The Mirror US

Under current Government proposals, it is predicted the number of fully-trained soldiers will be reduced to 72,500 from a commitment of 82,000 by next year. He told the International Armoured Vehicles conference in Twickenham on Wednesday the Army would not be big enough to fight an all-out war with the former Soviet nation even if it numbered 120,000.

Gen Sir Patrick said we need a military that can expand rapidly and train and equip a citizen army, while a shift in the mentality of the everyday person is needed. However, on the same day, the PM's official spokesman said No 10 did not agree, adding: "The British military has a proud position of being a voluntary force. As I say, there’s no plan for conscription."

US HOUSING NUKES IN UK

This week, it was also announced that the US intends to station nuclear weapons in the UK for the first time in 15 years as fears grow over the prospect of a third world war with Russia. According to Pentagon documents, the designs called for RAF Lakenheath in Suffolk to be home to warheads three times as powerful as the bomb that destroyed Hiroshima. They outlined plans for a "nuclear mission" that would happen at the base "imminently."

RAF Lakenheath had housed US nuclear missiles, but they were evacuated in 2008 when it was thought that Moscow's danger of starting a new Cold War had diminished. Procurement contracts for a new airbase complex are also disclosed in the documents.

The action is believed to be a component of a NATO initiative to modernise and develop nuclear sites in reaction to Russia's invasion of Ukraine over two years ago. It occurs at a time when influential people on both sides of the Atlantic foresee a possible conflict between Russia and NATO forces.

US AND UK BOMBING YEMEN

The US and the UK have been launching airstrikes targeting Houthi missile sites in Yemen this month. On Monday this week, US officials said the two allies conducted coordinated retaliatory strikes on an array of the rebels' missile-launching capabilities.

According to officials, the US and UK used warship-and submarine-launched Tomahawk missiles and fighter jets to take out Houthi missile storage sites and launchers. Sources said several locations around Sana'a have been targeted.

The Mirror understands British officials are becoming increasingly concerned about the UK being drawn into a wider conflict in the Middle East. Houthi shipping attacks are, though, creating a blockade which risks massively affecting prices and inflation in the west. UK Typhoons have been used in the retaliatory airstrikes.

MAJOR POWERS ALL HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS

An expert has warned that the current situation is now "far more perilous" than it was before WW1 in 1914 and before WW2 in 1939 before the major powers now all have nuclear weapons. According to Dr David Wearing, a lecturer in international relations at the University of Sussex, the availability of nuclear weapons means there is a risk of escalations if "one party makes a move that another party misinterprets, and then a nuclear exchange begins despite the fact that no-one was looking for one."

He added that while the war in Gaza is unlikely to escalate into a World War, we must take into account the risk of a genocide in Gaza and a further escalation in the region which could draw Iran in, attacking the oil heartlands of the Persian Gulf.

He told Sky News: "The US has repeatedly warned of conflict escalation in the Middle East, and yet repeatedly acted in ways that have now made that outcome a reality (supported throughout by the UK). It is widely understood by now that de-escalation requires that the US pulls the plug on Israel's assault on Gaza. The futile and dangerous military action against the Houthis is a reflection of Washington's refusal to accept that reality."

NATO CHIEF WARNS WEST 'MUST BE READY'

A NATO chief has called on the West to "prepare for an era of war" because we "have to realise" that peace is "not a given". Dutch Admiral Rob Bauer, the NATO military committee chief, said in Brussels: "We have to realise it's not a given that we are in peace. And that's why we [NATO forces] are preparing for a conflict with Russia."

He said the alliance needs to be on high alert for war and "expect the unexpected". He added: "In order to be fully effective, also in the future, we need a warfighting transformation of NATO."

ISRAEL'S WAR ON GAZA

Israel is continuing its attacks on Gaza, with the death toll surpassing 26,000 on Friday. The International Court of Justice ordered Israel to limit deaths and damage, but stopped short of demanding a ceasefire in Palestine.

The Gaza Health Ministry said more than 64,400 have been wounded since October 7, when Hamas launched a surprise attack in southern Israel, killing around 1,200 people and taking about 250 hostages.

South Africa has accused Israel of genocide and asked the world court in The Hague, Netherlands, to impose interim measures as the case proceeds. The requested measures included ordering Israel to stop its offensive, to allow Gaza residents access to aid and to take "reasonable measures" to prevent genocide. Israel has denied committing genocide and asked the court to throw out the case, which the panel of 17 judges refused to do.

And since Israel vowed to continue fighting further south in the Gaza Strip, this has increased tensions with neighbouring Egypt. "Any Israeli move in this direction will lead to a serious threat to Egyptian-Israeli relations," Diaa Rashwan, head of Egypt's State Information Service, said on Monday.

IRAN'S RESPONSE

The ongoing conflict in Gaza is also raising fears that Iran could become involved. Last week, an Israeli airstrike killed five Iranian officers in Syria's capital, Damascus, with the country's president saying the suspected attack "will not be left unanswered".

The Iranian government has repeatedly issued threats against Israel but has so far refrained from directly attacking it. Meanwhile, Israel has been targeting Syria, particularly affecting airports in Damascus and Aleppo, and potentially disruption the transfer of weapons from Iran to Gaza and along Israel's borders.

CHINA-TAIWAN TENSIONS

Further east, tensions continue between China and self-ruled Taiwan. China believes Taiwan will eventually be under Beijing's control but Taiwan sees itself as distinct from the mainland, with its own constitution and democratically-elected leaders.

But China has not ruled out the use of force to take the island, which is located around 100 miles from the coast of south-east China. According to military analysts, Xi Jinping is preparing the military in an invasion that could also drag the US into WW3.

Talking about the Chinese leader, Gordon Chang, author of 'China Is Going to War', told Business Insider : "I think that he is thinking that he needs officers who are prepared to actually fight." He added that Xi feels "that many of China's general officers don't want to fight." As a result, he said, the Chinese premier sees "a force led by an officer corps that is ambivalent about going to war."
